Brad Ruel passed away July 14, 2009. He was a master bike builder and former pro-motocrosser. Brad was well known throughout the motorcycle industry and appeared on bike building TV shows and at motorcycle rallies nationwide. Brad was the kind of person who was quick to make a joke and even quicker to help you out. His youth was spent racing motocross. Later in life, he turned his creative spirit toward custom motorcycles. The "Brad Ruel Look" is best represented by The Punisher bike. Long, dark, and tall - Brad's bikes had a powerful look. Nothing extra is on a Brad Ruel bike. That suited Brad well because as an ex motocross racer, Brad always led the pack. During the filming if a documentary about custom motorcycle builders, the film crew was amazed at how skilled all the riders were, but they complained that Brad was hard to film. They said Brad was always way up front and pulling away. I smiled at that. Brad was just faster than the other riders. Even on a rigid 14" over chopper, Brad was always Full Speed Ahead. We will all miss him.
